I received clothes I ordered on Ebay, and I haven't seen the top and the skirt had the same design ^^
I made the top hat myself
PS: sorry, the category is not correct, but the file was too small Edit: Bigger file, changed category
/!\ EDIT! Please read /!\ I'm TIRED of conflicts between "real lolitas" and "fake lolita"...
Lolita is just a word, why taking this so seriously?
I've seen people saying they were Gothic Lolita and wearing a really short skirt (more tutu-like), and a corset with goth boots (and sometimes sneakers...) So what's the problem with it? It's their problem, they make a fool of themselves, they pass as prostitute, not you.
One other thing: When someone ask me about my look, I do not say "I'm a lolita" because I'm not. I say, to be simple, that it is inspired by different japanese fashions.
_ No, I don't wear a blouse under a top or a jumper skirt, especially when the temperature is over 27°C, sweating heavily is not glamorous.
_ My skirt is too short. Sorry, I forgot my tape measure when I bought it. Seriously, the good size for a skirt is when we can't see my undies with just a glance.
_ I do not wear appropriates undies. How do you know? Undies are, by definition, under clothes. So it is supposed not to be visible. Just a precision, I wear shorts under a skirt, protecting me from wind. No, not bloomers. I had no time to sew it (without sewing machine). And I don't want tu buy them, it too expensive...
_ ... Which leads me to: I wear low quality clothes. Yes. I don't want to spend my paychecks in lolita clothes: over 200 for a dress is too much for me. Especially if I know this dress costs ~20 in production. (yes you will say it's good quality fabric, laces and all. But what about the workers in China or Taïwan who made it??) Baby, Angelic Pretty, Moi Meme Moitié makes cute and beautiful clothes, but too expensive. I can't buy in shops from other countries than France, I have no credit card.
Last but not least, Lolita fashion is lovely, but it doesn't fits with my point of view about fashion.
Lolitas just seem to wear an uniform, they're all similar: You have to wear a blouse, you have to have your skirt THIS size, not less, you have to wear appropriate undies, you have not to make-up like that, you have to, you have to, you have to... Fashion is, in essence, not that serious. Fashion is playing with shapes and colors. Fashion is fun. Where is the fun when you're forced to do so many things??
If every fashion has so many conditions, and if everyone would respect them, fashion would be frozen. No more new styles, no originality. Everyone dressed in the same way, is it what you want?
So, it would be nice, ladies, to let me doing what I want with my clothes, thank you very much.
I love the hat!!! Very cute outfit, have a cookie (ps= did you order those shoes from an eBay shop called Refuse To Be Usual? I think I've seen them before)
This looks more punk than lolita to me. Lolita uses a lot better quality materials, and EBAY is generally a bad place to try and find lolita clothes, unless you are looking for cheap brand. I would suggest looking at inthestarlight.com for lower priced lolita items. Also, to get a better idea of what lolitas really look like check out my gallery or [link]. Good luck!
My love, I have to say this.... That is no where near lolita. The top is all wrong and the skirt is far too short. A lolita would wear a nice blouse and a skirt at least to her knees with bloomers and a petticoat. That's more ero-lolita than anything. I recommend looking for Kuroneko Hime here on Deviant or on LiveJournal and talk to her. She's always got good advice for Lolita's.
I know what is lolita, thanks ^^ Maybe I forgot to say it was lolita inspired...
This is not really ero lolita, the skirt would be more short and I would wear a corset. I have a petticoat under the skirt, this is the black thing at the bottom (I had onlly this one, which is not really good)
It was in summer, I would be hot with a blouse XD
I don't want to be a perfect lolita, my look is just a mix between some fashions... (just for this kind of comments: being a lolita means having the perfect lolita uniform, and I like doing what I want with my clothes)
Second time, I'm not the perfect lolita. I just like this outfit, not beacause it looke like (and is not, I know) lolita, but because I like the design.
Entintling yhis deviations "a punk and lolita inspired outfit, but not the real thing" would be a little too long XD
And yeah, I prefer cheap things, I'm not the kind of person who pay 200€ for a dress, I prefer having more clothes without brand. (or maybe just a few)
